Free range* eggs from Kiln Bank Farm in the Cotswolds. The flock roam pasture and woodland, feasting on natural flora and fauna, producing deliviously rich, buttery yolks.
A MESSAGE FROM OUR FRIEND BILLY’S EGGS
Due to an unusually long period of Avian Flu across the UK, Billy’s Eggs now have to be labelled "Barn Eggs" because of the length of time the chooks have been inside under lockdown – more than 16 weeks.
This re-labelling is required by law and all free-range egg producers in the UK must do the same. It saddens me greatly and as you all know keeping the chickens inside goes against everything I believe in. But their welfare is also my utmost priority and with the highest cases ever reported for Avian Flu this is government ruling. I am looking after the chooks inside giving them plenty of things to keep them occupied and they're all doing well.
As soon as the restrictions are lifted the eggs can be called free range again.
Thank you so much for your understanding and support,
